I was doing some thinking about yesterday’s post and I realized there is something I like to do to kick the month off right. I don’t always do a WOD on the first of the month; but, I do like my first WOD of a month to have a PR (personal record). Last night, I opted to do the WOD instead of the normal Spinning(R) class I take. I couldn’t turn down sumo deadlifts or burpees and I’m glad I didn’t. The last time I did sumo deadlifts, my 1RM (1 rep max) was 205 lbs. Tonight I PR’ed 2RM at 215 lbs. I love beginning new months with a PR. It feels like I’m setting the tone for only improvements the rest of the month.
And that paleo challenge? Piece of cake! I’m feeling so much better and so much more energized.
