And I’m better than ever!
It has been waaaaaay too long since we last met. I could insert a whole bunch of lame apologies, but I’m not going to waste your time or my time. Part of my being away was pure laziness. After sitting in front of my Surface at work all day, the last thing I want to do is open it at night or on the weekends when I don’t have to. Part of it is Finn’s eyes. Who am I kidding? It’s all Finn. When she just wants to snuggle, I oblige. Every. Single. Time. Case in point:
Then there was all the stuff going on in my work and personal life. At work, I’m finally transitioning out of inventory (albeit very slowly) and into vendor compliance. Even though it’s the family business and I had dreams of taking over one day, I’ve found something else I want to do instead. I will be creating my own business from the ground up. I have identified the gap in society and I will provide the solution once it gets off the ground. I know this is very mysterious, but I don’t want to say anything more on such a public forum until the ball finally starts moving and a complete business plan is in place. On a more personal level, Boyfriend D and I broke up. Neither of us were happy and I discovered that Judaism is much more important to me than I ever thought it could be (more on that in a future post).
Since we last chatted, we celebrated Passover, where I tried to make the hashtag “#PaleoPassover” a thing on Twitter:

And on Instagram:
#paleo and therefore #kosherforpassover #blondies with an entire bag of @enjoylifefoods mini chocolate chips. Oops 😳 A photo posted by Finn (@finnstagram123012) on Apr 3, 2015 at 4:22am PDT
On the last day of Passover after the sun went down, I celebrated my 30th birthday with my closest friends at a local tapas restaurant. It was one of my better birthdays. I also chopped off my hair and received a complimentary makeover at Sephora:
If you’ve ever wondered what I look like, here you go. Don’t get used to it. 🙂
Later that week, Boyfriend D took me to Charleston, South Carolina, for a 5-day weekend/birthday gift. I fell in love with the city as we ate our way through it (pictures to come in a later post). Between then and now, there have been cooking classes at Sur La Table, Book Club meetings, Mother’s Day, a Shabbat dinner, a break-up, and the Israeli Day Parade.
As spring turns into summer, I’ll catch you up on the old stuff and introduce you to the new. Thanks for sticking with me, dear Fitters. Until next time!
Tell me, what have you been up to?
